INDUSTRY SEMINAR: CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS ACROSS THE COUNTRY – ON TOURING, BARRIERS, AND OPPORTUNITIES
Danish contemporary circus is developing rapidly and is creating high-quality performing arts that tour throughout the country. However, circus places particularly high demands on venues regarding rigging, stage dimensions, and safety. And how is it really going with attracting audiences to circus?
DYNAMO Circus Festival invites venues, theater associations, artists, companies, and all professionals with an interest in Danish contemporary circus to an industry seminar. The workshop is aimed at professionals who work with booking performances for their venue (bookers, artistic directors, producers), as well as those who work hands-on with artists and companies on stage (stage managers, technical directors). Companies and artists are invited to share their own experiences with touring and performing on different stages.
Under the headline CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS ACROSS THE COUNTRY – ON TOURING, BARRIERS, AND OPPORTUNITIES, we aim to identify the challenges preventing more circus from reaching audiences across Denmark, find solutions together, and present a number of performances that will be touring in the coming seasons.
