In _plex, choreographer Alma Toaspern delves into the sensual and emotional intensity of pop culture.

Inspired by John Oswald’s visionary album “Plexure” (1993), a collage of over 1,000 pop hits, the work translates fragments of sound into movement, rhythm and presence. Through the body, it examines how we navigate in a time characterized by constant media noise, algorithmic remix culture and fleeting impulses. Powerful, humorous and overwhelming, each gesture seeks to create meaning in the midst of overstimulation – a glimpse of clarity in chaos.
