DYNAMO Volunteers
Volunteers are an important part of the community at DYNAMO – many of our events simply wouldn’t be possible without your help!
To give you a better idea of how you can contribute, here are some of the events and activities where we’re always happy to have an extra pair of hands: circus performances, concerts, larger events and art markets, as well as our five-day circus festival.
Most volunteer work takes place at DYNAMO by the harbour, but occasionally we also organise events at other locations in Odense.

What we offer
We offer a safe and welcoming artistic space where you can feel at home and be part of a community. A place that is constantly changing and can be unpredictable and sometimes a little chaotic – but is full of fun experiences, community and culture. A place where you can learn new things and meet new people.

FAQ
Who can be a volunteer?
Anyone who would like to lend a hand and be part of a great community. If you are under 18, we need a signed consent form from your parent or guardian.
How many hour do I have to volunteer per month?
We expect our volunteers to contribute approximately 8–15 hours per month. A shift typically lasts around four hours and will often give you the opportunity to see a performance as well.
What happens during the shifts?
There is a person in charge during every shift who will welcome you and give you the necessary instructions. This means you will never be left alone with the responsibility during a shift.
How do I sign up for specific shifts?
Once you have registered as a volunteer, our Volunteer Coordinator, Barbora, will send you the shift schedule. Here, you can indicate which shifts you are available for, after which Barbora will confirm your shifts.
You can always change or cancel a shift – by contacting Barbora.
Do I need to speak Danish in order to volunteer?
No. DYNAMO is a very international venue, and we often communicate in English. Speaking Danish is therefore not a requirement.
Can I become a volunteer if I can only do one shift?
We are primarily looking for volunteers who would like to be part of the team over a longer period. However, you are always welcome to stop by, experience the venue and perhaps see a performance.
