We are now receiving applications for an upcoming 4-weeks residency in Autumn 2022.
Artists and companies (up to 4 members) based in the Baltic and/or Nordic region are eligible to apply. The residency does not have a set thematic, and it is therefore open to artists working in any discipline and with any artistic thematic across contemporary circus.
Through the residency programme, DYNAMO aims to support the circus environment to its fullest extent by also providing artists with the opportunity to do unrestricted creative work and contribute to the development of contemporary circus in the Nordic region.
What we offer
The Space:
As a group/artist in residency at DYNAMO you are provided with your own workspace of approx, 130m2. You get access to basic circus rigging equipment, crash mats and such. (Our max height for rigging in ceiling is 6 meters.) Basic lights and sound.
Economy:
For this residency, we provide an artistic fee of 400 EURO, as well as cover travel costs to and from Denmark and accommodation during your residency (limits may apply). We can cover some of your needs for artistic or non-artistic needs for resources, or the fee for an external person of your choice (choreographer, dramaturg, scenographer). A closer agreement is necessary.
What we expect
A public work in progress showing is part of the residency agreement. The showing will also be included in the program for our audience. The selected artist/company is expected to provide materials for PR and promotion. The artist/company in residency will be expected to share documentation of their process.
Who can apply
Any artist or group/company (of up to 4 people) based in the Baltic and/or Nordic Region. You can apply with an already started production, at any stage of development. Note that a work in progress showing is part of the residency agreement.
When and where
The residency period is from Wednesday September 18th 2022 to Friday October 28th 2022 and takes place at DYNAMO, Finlandkaj 6, in Odense, Denmark.
