A sensory and poetic puppet theater performance for adults.
For generations, women’s scientific work has been systematically attributed to male researchers. This was observed as early as the 19th century by American activist and freethinker Matilda Joslyn Gage, whose name now lends itself to the phenomenon known as the “Matilda Effect.”
Step into a sensory, poetic world and meet some of history’s previously overlooked women scientists and their groundbreaking discoveries. Hear their stories about the drive and sacrifices behind their achievements—and about the discoveries they never received credit for.
Experience the lives and work of figures like Lise Meitner, known as the mother of nuclear power; Inge Lehmann, who discovered Earth’s core; Marie Hammer, who connected the continents; and Lene Hau, who stopped light in its tracks.
The performance is presented in collaboration with Teater Momentum and is presented at Momentum.
