Five leading musicians from London's jazz and experimental scene

Flock met at The Fish Factory in London in the summer of 2020 with the aim of trying to create something completely fresh. "Improvisation is a composition in itself," says Bex Burch, "so even though the music was freely improvised, we sometimes chose to keep the form and rhythm and repeat melodies and grooves. We 'swarmed' and that's how the name Flock came about".

All of Flock's tracks explore their own color and mood, sometimes witty and cinematic, sometimes tense and claustrophobic.

The album 'Flock' was released by Strut Records in May 2022 and has been highlighted by, among others, Gilles Peterson, Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6 Music), Freeness and Late Junction (BBC Radio 3).
