This is a full-day exchange and focus on possibilities for contemporary circus development in the Nordic and Baltic Region. Organised in collaboration with BNCN and with support from the Nordic Culture Point.

10.30 – 11.00 Arrival & coffee  11.00 – 14.00 Focus: Residency centers in Nordic/Baltic Contexts (inkl. lunch)   Lithuanian company Kanta Company is visiting Odense and DYNAMO as part of a research project, aimed at learning best practices for residency centers dedicated to contemporary circus. During this session we will exchange experiences, insights, methodologies and visions for the future, with a focus on residencies for circus. 

14.00 – 15.00 Info session: BNCII Baltic Nordic Circus Innovation Incubator.
Under the BNCN umbrella, this Innovation Incubator project aims to identify, support, and promote artistic innovation and risk-taking to develop relevant voices within our region and connect them with presenters and audiences on Nordic and European scales. Join this session to hear how you can use this project, as an artist. Specific focus on the experience of applying to the circusnext platform open calls, as a Nordic/Baltic artist.

15.00 – 16.00 Hybridisation Handbalancing: Performance lecture by Steph Mouat / La Barque Acide  DYNAMO residents from La Barque Acide will do a sharing from their research, titled Hybridisation of handbalancing with dance and acrobatics. The artists look at the discipline of handbalancing as currently under development, in search of new forms, new pedagogies, and new spaces in which to reinvent itself. The project explores the emergence of performative languages, when handbalancing is crossed with other practices such as dance and acrobatics. 

17.00 – 18.00 Performance in DYNAMO: Living Layers by Swedish company Below Zero. Sign up to see the show in this form. We will book a ticket for you.
