FAIL AWAY invites the audience to a multitude of mistakes and failures. The show cuts to the core of the struggle to maintain femininity and achieve success, in a society where there are sky-high demands for constant perfection.
Narrow norms are often very difficult to relate to, but instead of seeing them as limitations, we see the power we can gain if we use them to our advantage. Through comedy, we point to the structures and at the same time present another world that could be possible. The dream is that those who see the performance will leave feeling a little less judgmental toward themselves and others. That they feel they have experienced a kind of transformation – even if it’s only in a tiny, tiny part of their life that they feel it.
