Description

Artist Aurora Caja spends this DYNAMO residency working on the project The Meeting Point – a site-specific creation.

About the project:

The Meeting Point is the encounter between a flock of birds and Aurora in a public space—a daily situation that transforms into a shared dance, reshaping urban reality.

The body plays a central role in the piece, and it is through physical language that the narrative is constructed. This vocabulary draws from circus arts (acro-dance, contortion, and hand balancing) as well as dance, while also evoking a theatrical dimension. Equal importance is given to the space in which the piece takes place and the context that surrounds it. The work proposes a real interaction with the birds present in the square or street, as well as with the environment itself. It offers a loving perspective on urban wildlife, bringing attention to what, despite being present, often remains unseen.

About the artist:

Aurora Caja works with physical language and the visual arts. She studied visual arts at Escola Massana in Barcelona and Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. She trained as a circus performer at the Flic Scuola di Circo in Turin, Italy. There, she specialized in the discipline of handstands. More info: https://www.auroracaja.com/
