Lumo Company (Hanna Moisala and Anniina Peltovako) are spending their DYNAMO residency to work on Fineline, a contemporary circus performance in which balance is explored through the artists’ main discipline – tightwire.

About the performance

Fineline is a delicate description of physical balance depicting a person’s mental and spiritual balance. This tightwire piece is created by, and relies on the sense of balance of two artists. The interface of balance at its ultimate is a thin steel wire. The senses are multiplied and seduce the viewer with visual stimulus. Balance is the constant search for balance. Balance is being off-balance. The wire is in the middle of the stage and under it is a rail that turns 360 degrees making it possible to rotate the equipment.This added dimension of rotation allows experimenting with the physical laws of balance and gives the spectators new opportunities for interpretation.

The artists are giving a work in progress presentation for Fineline in on April 7th kl. 19 in DYNAMO.
