Gabrielė Penčylaitė is a Lithuanian actress, illustrator, dancer, theater pedagog and bouffon. She also works with the discipline of clown. In this residency she works on her first solo project – The Zero. A work in progress presentation takes place in DYNAMO on 17th August.

The Zero is a work focusing on the fool, the clown, the comic character known in French as the ‘bouffon’. Gabrielė Penčylaitė is an actress, dancer, and circus artist, and in this residency she focuses on creating the character, the old bouffon Zero, in a play with visual effects, shadows, light, and darkness.

“As an artist, for some time I have been interested in the dualistic interpretation of personality, how various differences (in this case, my different expressions as an artist) complement each other, correlate within each other, how they contrast – how different things can fit in one person, be one and the same person.” GP
