Experience the intensive festival format Performing Landscapes, where five artists present newly created pieces in different types of landscapes. In Odense we go on a walk from the harbor and follow the water’s flow towards the sea.
You can experience works in different formats – walking performance, rest performance, sound work, participatory workshop, daydreaming dance…
The canal connects several landscapes and several cultural-historical elements, and at the same time the canal and the fjord are core elements in the ecological state of the area. The performance is thus also a city walk, reflecting the project's site-specific ambitions to (re)create connections to our local surroundings.
Performing Landscapes has roots in an artistic practice where nature is involved on its own terms, and where the works seek to create change in a time marked by ecological collapse. Art takes up residence in nature and the landscape to investigate how we put new values into play.
Performing Landscapes are both performative interpretations of the landscape and the landscape itself, which performs in its own right. Performing Landscapes Odense is part of a larger, nationwide art project in 11 municipalities in August and September 2025, which investigates how we can live and create more sustainably and in equal interaction and cohesion with our surroundings. Meeting point: Dynamo Workspace, Finlandkaj 6, Odense
RUST by Astrid Randrup
Through movement, sound, and visual intensity, rust becomes a mirror of our own changeability. Together we explore rust as a living presence – not merely a sign of decay, but as an active process. Rust is the breath of iron, a visible transformation that connects industry, nature, and body – an ecological time machine. Read more.

13:10–14:25 Peter Vadim – Daydream Dialogues

DAYDREAM DIALOGUES by Peter Vadim
We are guided by a poetic, dancing shadow figure – a representative of what is overlooked, hidden, or excluded, yet still part of the place. Through daydreaming exercises, we open our senses and connect with the landscape. Daydream Dialogues explores different forms of daydreaming: actively imagining, letting thoughts drift away, or embodying another existence – a being, a community, a landscape. Read more.
