60secondscircusfilm is an international competition for one-minute circus films, initiated by DYNAMO and OFF – Odense International Film Festival. The selected films have been screened as part of the CircusDanceFestival in Cologne, the DYNAMO Circus Festival in Odense, and will also be shown at OFF this August!

The competition embraces a broad interpretation of circus: as an art form, as ideas, inspiration, storytelling, wild physicality, and incredibly specific details. Just like contemporary circus itself, the competition is free from restrictions and genre definitions, instead encouraging creators to be curious and creative with the possibilities that arise when film as a medium meets circus as a performing art.

At the event, we will screen films from previous years’ competitions as well as a special screening of the film Faute de Vertige!
