We meet a ragtag and wonderfully dysfunctional circus troupe living life on the road – with sawdust in their lungs, popcorn in their pockets, and a worn circus heart that beats for something greater. Home is wherever their wagon, Lotte, is parked in the ditch, and the dream lives on: a real circus tent! A world tour! Applause and recognition!

But amid the pursuit of freedom, questions arise: What does it cost to follow your dream? And is the journey itself the greatest adventure of all?

About the company

Cirkus Grand Danois is a newly formed Danish contemporary circus company, consisting of four Danish artists trained at circus schools abroad. They believe that circus can unite art and popular culture, be inclusive, challenge existing power structures, and foster greater understanding. The company has roots in traditional Danish performer and circus families, and several members are second-generation artists. They are brought together by a shared love of contemporary circus, the circus life, and the unique outlook on life that comes with it.
