This is the second short residency for the Danish company Copenhagen Circus Space, in which they work on the performance Fika!
About the performance
Four distinct characters gather around a table for coffee, hoping to reconnect over a warm and cozy afternoon. But tensions arise when their differences clash—especially between a slow, well-meaning host and an impatient guest—pushing their friendships to the breaking point.
This contemporary circus project explores how conflict reveals the true strength of relationships, particularly in a time when young people struggle with loneliness, digital isolation, and emotional understanding. Through its nonverbal, cross-generational language, the performance invites children, youth, and accompanying adults to reflect on empathy, connection, and how we navigate feelings together.
About the company
The audience is invited into a circus performance shaped by the vision of Copenhagen Circus Space—a platform dedicated to artists and the idea of “circus for all.” As a production company rooted in arts and culture, it creates performances, community projects, and a wide range of circus activities for events. With a focus on accessibility and collaboration, the organization aims to support professional artists in Copenhagen while bringing people together through the shared joy and wonder of circus.
