Italian artist Morgana Morandi spends this DYNAMO residency to work on creation for her upcoming solo performance Miss SBarbie. A work in progress presentation takes place on 11th Ocotber at 20.00 in DYNAMO. Morgana’s project was a circusnext finalist 2024.
About the performance
The Barbie doll allows children to dream away in other worlds, moments and places that these inanimate creatures can materialize and experience. The work MISS SBARBIE is a tale of play, and an invitation to repair yourself, and a focus on always moving forward, in a continuous and endless change.
On stage you can see approx. 150 barbie dolls, a pink drill and a dart board with bits of barbie. The dolls move by themselves, they are friendly and they are hostile. Let the game begin!
About the artist
Miss SBarbie is the alter ego of Morgana Morandi. Morgana grew up in Bologna with a twin sister, both spending their childhood as avid Barbie players.
