Byrumsballade

Byrumsballade

“For 20 years we have created works where people fly, jump, climb, balance and throw themselves from high heights. It has influenced the way we look at the city and architecture. When we look at a building, it is with eyes that look for scenic possibilities: Can we place an orchestra on the roof? Is there high enough for swinging trapezes? Can the constructions carry a human weight? How do you illuminate the building to create a stage space? ”

In collaboration with the Odense Architecture Festival OAFx, DYNAMO Workspace in 2019 with the support of the National Art Fund produced site-specific production “City Space Ballad – a tribute to the spaces”

Decay, poor utilization of m2 in the form of very high-ceilinged spaces, crooked angles and levels and industry that is empty and inactive. What many may consider ugly or unprofitable opens up a world of possibilities for creating performing arts universes.
