Artist Wes Peden is joining this DYNAMO residency to work on the performance Astromorph, with premiere in February 2027.

Using his inventive and maximalist juggling style, Wes Peden dives into a world of kites, spinning flowers, helicopters, and giant hands. Astromorph is pure juggling, where shapes, colors, and gravity are used to fill the sky with joyful and bombastic eye candy.

Inspired by the extravagance of Mexican wrestling and the collage work of Henri Matisse, Astromorph is a show of playful elegance where high-speed hands are used to capture the calm of a ball freezing at its apex.

Wes Peden is one of the most influential and innovative jugglers of his generation. Known for his explosive technique, playful aesthetic, and genre-defying creativity, Wes constantly finds new ways to bring joy and surprise to the stage through juggling.

A graduate of DOCH (Stockholm University of Dance and Circus), Wes has performed his work in over 30 countries across five continents, both as a solo artist and as part of major international companies. His juggling videos have garnered millions of views and a devoted global following.

Wes combines complex technical research with bold visual design, creating performances that are as emotionally resonant as they are technically extraordinary. Whether performing in black box theatres, opera houses, post-industrial nunneries, or digital platforms, he continues to expand the language of contemporary juggling.

["post-17083","artistinresidense","type-artistinresidense","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry

About the artist
