In this DYNAMO residency, Danish company Out of Balanz worked to finish production and premiere their performance Turbulence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the performance <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turbulence is a circus performance about climate, migration, and what it means to feel at home. The performance examines the effects of climate change on ordinary people and the bodily experience of being on the run. Here, five circus artists are put into a physical battle, where the survival strategy requires them to constantly move their base. Their center of acrobatic expression is set in motion and challenged, and they must invent new ways of acting in order to survive.

Founded in 2006, OUT OF BALANZ is an international ensemble dedicated to producing interdisciplinary performances that respond to contemporary existence and strengthen human interconnectedness. Out of Balanz is an award-winning, international touring performing arts company based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
They are known for highly collaborative creative processes and original, visually rich, adventurous works. Their approach is grounded in collective creation and strong ensemble practice.
Out of Balanz produce both original pieces and adaptations and their performances cross cultural boundaries and artistic forms. The company aims to create engaging, thought-provoking experiences for diverse audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
