Lithuanian company Teatronas spent this DYNAMO residency working on the performance Grimmaces.

About the performance <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Grimmaces is a reinterpretation of well-known folk tales \u2013 but not for children at all! The performance is an innovative fusion of contemporary circus and theatre, in a reinterpretation of the Brothers Grimm\u2019s original, raw and unfiltered tales.\u00a0The performance attempts to understand and dismantle social constructions within gender and national identity, in a humorous way and examines how folk tales have helped to influence our perception of the two social constructions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teatronas is an active member of the Lithuanian and international contemporary performing arts sector, develops contemporary circus arts, supports professionals in creating and presenting their work, and welcomes audiences to get to know the variety of local and international circustheater performances and contemporary circus artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
