Open call – juggling & object manipulation


Dynamo Workspace invites artist/groups (up to 4 people) working with object manipulation and/or juggling to apply for a one-month residency in October 2019.
This residency is addressed to artist mainly from the Nordic and Baltic countries.


During a full month in October 2019, this residency is a platform for experiments and artistic research developing new ideas, or as part of the research for a new production.

What we wish from you:
We encourage the residency company or artist to document their process, the observations an ideas yoy may encounter in your exploration. The residency stay will end with an open viewing/sharing for an audience as well as other artist and people working in the field of circus and the performing arts.

Dynamo Workspace provides:

Your own space at Dynamo Workspace approx, 400m2 black box.Access to basic circus rigging equipment, crash mats and such. (Our max height for rigging in the ceiling is 6 meters. If the residency requires special circus or juggling equipment, it is the artist in residence who are responsible for bringing or acquiring the equipment to Dynamo Workspace.
If you have ideas you want to build, Dynamo Workspace has a fully equipped workshop, for both woodwork and metal. 

Fee: 630 euros per person, for an artistic team of a maximum of 4 people.

Accommodation: A place to live in the city center of Odense throughout the period.

Travel: Yes, we pay one return ticket.

Per diems: 16 euros per day, per person.

Artistic mentorship/check in – once a week.

A kick of master class with the juggler Jay Gilligan together with the performance Melodic Objects starts the residency. The masterclass is open for other artist and serves to inspire the artist in residency.

October 2019 at Dynamo Workspace in Odense, Denmark. Deadline is the Mai 1st 2019. You will hear from us at the beginning of June.
